Kelmscott is a mixed residential, rural and commercial suburb about 25 kilometres south-east of Perth. It was one of the very first towns of the Swan River Colony — established in 1830 and named after Kelmscott in Oxfordshire — with its most rapid growth through the 1960s and 70s.
